About Me

WHO ARE YOU?
I'm PJ, a perspiring (sorry, aspiring) author.
I love to tinker with words.
The power of language fascinates me.
WHAT DO YOU WRITE?
Poetry, picture books, and
short stories in rhyme and prose.
For children, young adults, and adults.
My writing explores language, connection,
and the spaces between certainty and change,
reality and illusion.
I have longer works in progress. (More about that later.)

WHY DO YOU WRITE?
I enjoy weaving words to create characters and tales.
I write to spark imaginations, fire emotions, and feed curiosity.
I hope my stories might strike a chord with someone, somewhere.
Maybe make a difference.
Oh ... and writing is wonderful therapy. I recommend it.
WHAT’S YOUR BACKGROUND?
Teaching.
Theatre and film.
Clinical psychology.
I worked in brain injury rehabilitation.
I've been writing ever since I could hold a pen.
(Before computers and smartphones.)

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN NOT WRITING?
I think about writing. Sing. Bushwalk.
Swim, snorkel, and kayak with dolphins and whales.
Read. Dream.
WHERE CAN I READ SOME OF YOUR WRITING?

Please enjoy.
